Story
A vertical axis holds a compact “city” of forms—arches, doorways, windows, and markers—stacked like a symbolic streetscape. The layout reads as a built language, where each block suggests a room, a threshold, or a pause in the plan.
Design
Controlled, thick lines are translated into powder coated metal to create clear compartments and open cutouts. Negative space becomes the bright structure inside the drawing, while the offset mount builds a floating shadow that sharpens the geometry and adds depth.
Curator’s Note
Architectural symbols often point to shelter, passage, and orientation—what is entered, what is crossed, and what is held. Circles and arcs can be read as meeting points and turning moments, giving the grid a sense of rhythm rather than strict repetition.
