Orbit Echo | Geometric Grids & Lattices

The design is a vertical composition built entirely from circles, arcs, and concentric rings arranged along a central vertical axis. Two dominant solid-filled circular masses anchor the upper and lower portions of the composition, while a multi-ring concentric target occupies the center field. Overlapping arc segments traverse both halves of the design, and a repeating set of parallel vertical bars reinforces the structural column running through the piece. The result is a self-contained, disciplined geometric system that reads as both ordered and visually active.

The piece is cut from flat metal sheet with clearly defined open channels — particularly within the concentric ring section — that allow the LED back-panel to illuminate from behind. The warm back-glow radiates through the ring cuts and across the outer perimeter, producing a layered effect in which solid filled forms read as dense silhouettes against the luminous field, while open-channel areas glow from within. The floating mount allows the halo to spread evenly across the wall surface behind the panel.

As a motif, the stacked circle system relates formally to constructivist and concrete art traditions while remaining motif-neutral — it carries no fixed symbolic program, functioning instead as a study in the spatial relationship between circular mass, open ring, and linear vertical structure.
