A single bird in mid-flight is captured as a clean, uninterrupted gesture—quietly symbolic of freedom, navigation, and the instinct to rise above the ordinary. The sweeping tail and lifted wing suggest forward motion without urgency, turning a familiar creature into a calm emblem of momentum.

The form is translated into powder coated metal through confident, continuous contours that create open negative space and a crisp outline. The long curves and tapered turns are designed to cast a floating shadow effect, letting the linework read as both drawing and structure.

Curator’s Note: Across many visual traditions, birds have been used as shorthand for passage and possibility—carriers of seasonal change, messengers of distance, and living proof of air made visible through motion.
