The design is translated into powder coated metal through thick contour bands that define the brow, nose bridge, lips, and jaw with crisp cut geometry. Negative space is used as light across the cheek and forehead, and the 1.5 cm floating offset creates a shadow line that deepens the cubist structure.

Curator’s Note: Modernist portrait traditions often used reduction and fragmentation to show perception rather than realism, treating the face as architecture—planes, angles, and rhythm—rather than a literal likeness.
