The yin-yang is rendered as a flowing emblem of paired forces—light and shadow, stillness and motion—held in a single continuous cycle. The enclosing oval reinforces the idea of wholeness, turning duality into a composed, unified sign.

The design is translated into powder coated metal through thick, confident curves and carefully preserved negative space. The interlocking shapes are defined by smooth transitions and tapered points, allowing shadow and outline to do equal work as the piece floats slightly off the wall.

Curator’s Note: The yin-yang (taijitu) is a Taoist cosmological diagram that expresses how opposites are understood as interdependent, transforming, and inseparable within a larger unity rather than as fixed conflict.
