I designed The Chrysalis Emblem as a symbol of quiet transformation—an anchor that brings lightness without losing authority.
This butterfly is cut as a ceremonial silhouette: symmetrical wings carved with layered apertures, bead-like punctures, and flowing inner filigree that reads like an ancient crest refined into modern precision. The geometry is airy but disciplined—negative space doing half the design—so the piece changes with the day. When light hits it, the wing pattern projects a soft lattice of shadow that feels alive, like motion held in stillness.
Curator’s Note:
Butterflies have long appeared in art and mythology as symbols of the soul and transformation, from ancient Greek philosophy to modern naturalist illustration—often representing change that is both beautiful and inevitable.
