Story
A seated woman settles into an armchair with an unhurried, composed presence. The figure feels timeless—part portrait, part symbol—where stillness carries its own quiet authority.
Design
Bold metal contours carve the chair and body into clean, connected shapes, letting open wall space complete the forms. Negative space becomes the light within the composition, and the offset mounting creates a floating shadow effect that adds depth behind the silhouette.
Curator’s Note
Seated portraits often communicate poise, reflection, and self-possession. The simplified geometry nods to early modern figure language, keeping the image iconic rather than literal—an enduring study of calm strength.
