Story
A compact codex of everyday signs is organized into a structured field—sun, vessel, fish, glass, arches, and ladders—each symbol acting like a stamped entry in a visual logbook. The scene reads as an atlas of movement and pause, where travel, shelter, and ritual are held in the same frame.
Design
Bold metal pathways define rooms of open space, letting the composition breathe while keeping the geometry crisp. The thick contours and cutout “windows” sharpen into a floating shadow when mounted off the wall, turning the negative space into an active part of the drawing.
Curator’s Note
Icons of sailing and anchoring often signal passage and return, while vessels and architectural forms suggest gathering and protection. The grid format adds a sense of order and memory, like a language of waypoints collected over time.
