Soup of the Day Pour Sign

A familiar phrase is flipped into a bar-room punchline, where “soup of the day” becomes a spirited invitation and whiskey becomes the punchline. The tipped bottle and curling pour lines frame the message like a chalkboard special, turning a simple drink reference into a bold, social emblem.

The design is translated into powder coated metal through clean contour cutting and high-contrast negative space that keeps the lettering crisp and readable. The bottle, glass, and pour ribbons are shaped with continuous strokes that create motion, while the 1.5 cm floating offset adds a shadow edge that reinforces the sign-like silhouette.

Curator’s Note: Wordplay signage has long been part of tavern and bistro visual culture, using short phrases and iconic vessels to signal welcome, conversation, and a shared sense of humor.
