Sunwell Rosette

A steady center is surrounded by flowing segments that feel both natural and architectural, like a flower translated into a compass or a window turned into a symbol. The rhythm is carried outward in repeating forms, suggesting continuity, renewal, and the kind of order found in nature’s patterns.

The artwork is translated into powder coated metal through bold contour cuts that preserve clean negative space and strong visual weight. The thick outer ring stabilizes the piece, while the interior “petals” are shaped to create depth through contrast and shadow. The standoff mounting system lifts the form from the wall, allowing the circular geometry to cast a crisp floating halo effect.

Curator’s Note: Rosette motifs have appeared for centuries in architecture and ornament, from carved stone to stained glass, often used to express harmony through repetition and radial symmetry.
