A marine presence is implied rather than illustrated, shaped by the same currents that carry it. The surrounding spiral suggests the ocean’s invisible architecture—circulation, return, and the steady pull of water that turns movement into a living symbol.

The design is translated into powder coated metal through thick, sweeping bands and clean interior cutouts that preserve the illusion of layered flow. Curves are kept continuous to maintain a sense of rotation, while the floating offset sharpens the silhouette as shadows trace the vortex and define the central form.

Curator’s Note: Circular sea emblems echo coastal visual traditions where life and water are treated as inseparable—creatures are often portrayed through currents, emphasizing motion as identity rather than detail.
